Connecticut Valley Girl Scout Council Office Building

The Connecticut Valley Girl Scout Council, working with Hartford Hospital, Trinity College and the SINA Neighborhood groups, developed a new 10,0000 SF office building at the corner of Washington and Tremont Streets. The neighborhood underwent extensive rehabilitation with the construction of the “Learning Corridor” directly opposite the office building site. It was the desire of the client to construct a building which reflected the shingle style architecture of the neighborhood. The building was sited as a visual anchor to the Learning Corridor connecting Trinity College to the hospital district. 
The first floor contains offices, meeting room and program space for after school activities. There is a computerized learning center for young scouts to work on homework. The upper floor consists of open office space while the basement provides additional training room for regional scout troops as well as a central distribution for the all famous Girl Scout cookies.
