Upper Valley Aquatic Center
Hartford, Vermont
The 40,000 SF aquatic center program includes two natatoria with
separate atmospheres maintaining different water and air temperatures.
The first contains a 10 lane 25-meter by 11 lane 25-yard competition
pool and a 300-seat upper level spectator gallery. The second encloses a
leisure pool with three 25-yard warm-up lanes, several water slides,
fountains, a lazy river, and an activity room for group rental events.
Completing the project are a fitness center and day care center. During
mild seasonal weather, perimeter doors and an operable roof allow the
aquatic center’s natatoria to become “outside” pools.
