The Farmington Valley YMCA is a $9M new facility built around an existing aquatics program. In 2001 the YMCA purchased a local 20,000 SF swim club in Granby, CT and MPN designed a 50,000 SF two story addition to house a full service community facility. The addition includes a new 10,000 SF gym with future track, climbing wall, aerobics program, child watch and Amazing Kids, a full wellness program, teen center, space for a community medical clinic and franchised food service. The aquatics center remained open during most of the construction with exception of the time required to refurbish the pool areas and existing lockers.
