A 34,000 SF addition to an existing 33,000 SF structure. The project refurbished the existing structure and added a 6,000 SF wellness and ready-to-be-fit area, a new warm water therapy pool, teen center, and an Amazing Kids area with expanded child care. A multi-phased renovation was developed to keep the facility fully occupied and operational during construction. The design addressed the concerns of the residential neighborhood by limiting the amount of glass on the street façade while opening the glass corners of the building to project a lively and active YMCA community facility.
